At Viscariello Hospitality Group, we're proud to support the next generation of culinary talent right here on the South Shore of Massachusetts.
Now through April 22, guests can help local students from Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School in Rochester, MA take their skills to a national stage—NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.
South Shore Students Headed to NASA's HUNCH Culinary Challenge
These talented students—recently competing in the Massachusetts ProStart Competition—have been selected as finalists in NASA's prestigious HUNCH Culinary Challenge.
The HUNCH (High Schools United with NASA to Create Hardware) program invites students from across the country to develop innovative, space-ready meals designed for astronauts aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
This year, the Old Colony team created Chicken Vindaloo Tacos—a globally inspired, nutritionally balanced dish engineered for space travel. Their work combines culinary creativity with advanced food science, making them standout representatives of Massachusetts vocational culinary programs.
