This September 19–20, Mamma Mia's will be one of more than 30 pizzerias setting up at City Hall Plaza for New England's largest pizza festival — a two-day celebration bringing together local favorites and acclaimed pizza makers from as far as Italy. And ahead of the big weekend, FOX 25 stopped by to see what makes Mamma Mia's worth the trip.
Fifty Years in the Making
For nearly 50 years, Mamma Mia's has been serving the South Shore the same way it started: with original recipes, quality ingredients, and a lot of family behind every pie. What began in 1974 has grown into six locations and three generations of family still doing things the way they always have — the same mozzarella, the same hand-selected basil, the same commitment to never cutting corners.
